Box Office Assistant
We’re looking for enthusiastic, music-loving, and friendly Box Office Assistants to join our growing Box Office team to support our programme of concerts on a casual basis. You will be the friendly face of St George’s welcoming visitors to our building, an excellent salesperson as well as a helpful contact point for customers looking for information or tickets.
The Box Office team is a core part of the St George’s Welcome, aiming to give our customers the very best experience when they are with us. The team is also crucial for growing our ticket sales, and as such, in addition to your excellent customer service skills, you’ll have an entrepreneurial eye for upselling. If you’re a warm, friendly person, with a passion for music and events, with customer service and/or ticketing experience, ideally in a cultural setting, we’re keen to hear from you.
These roles are casual positions, with shifts typically on evenings and weekends, with some weekday availability necessary.
We are welcoming applications on a rolling basis.
Receptionists (job-share, each 25 hours per week)
This role is designed as a job-share with two Receptionists to be appointed, one for mornings (8am – 1pm) and one for afternoons (1pm – 6pm).
The role of Receptionist is to provide a friendly and professional greeting for our visitors (including members of public, performers and suppliers) at our Welcome Desk; to help ensure our building and premises are presented and maintained to the highest quality standards, and to take on a range of administration tasks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is a methodical approach and attention to detail. The working patterns for this job-share role are based around the organisational requirements for the Welcome Desk function, and involve a daily handover of information.
These are part-time, permanent roles.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 8 November 2024.
Kitchen Supervisor (full time post)
We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Supervisor to lead on food preparation, supporting the Hospitality Manager to ensure high level service and delivery across the venue’s food operations. This involves coordinating a small team of casual staff and an apprentice whilst working to achieve agreed sales and customer service targets, alongside great quality local products. You will collaborate with and be supported by the Hospitality Manager to develop food offerings for different times of the day, including bespoke offerings for specific events/activity when required.
This role would suit applicants with prior kitchen experience at CDP or seasoned Commis level who are looking to take the next step in their careers and take the opportunity to inject their creativity and imagination into our menu offering.
Working hours include covering primary service hours and clear-down on event days/evenings, including some weekends; as such it is a full-time role that requires a degree of flexibility to meet the objectives set out above. This role is open for job share for the right applicant.
This is a full-time, permanent role.
We are welcoming applications on a rolling basis.
