Work to Begin on Roof

Work to begin on roof and Charlotte Street entrance
We are delighted to be working with award-winning Bristol architects, Alec French Architects, to address ongoing challenges with the roof of our pavilion-style extension.
We opened our beautiful extension in 2018, housing our Café Bar and Glass Studio meeting/function rooms. Unfortunately, the extension roof has remained in need of some additional building work. This has had a knock-on effect, meaning that work to the Charlotte Street end of the St George’s grounds is yet to be completed; plans for landscaping and a new bike shelter have been put on hold.
The roof project will now be undertaken with Alec French Architects, along with developing an updated design for the space and surrounding grounds. This is an opportunity to revive the Charlotte Street-facing aspect of St George’s Bristol, opening up more of our beautiful site and future-proofing our building. St George’s Bristol turns 200 in 2023, and this key project looks to our next 200 years as a welcoming creative space for music and ideas.
