Known as one of the most influential figures in jazz history, Miles Davis revolutionized the genre across multiple decades, from the bebop era to the birth of cool, modal jazz, and fusion. This special performance will journey through Davis’s groundbreaking career, presenting compositions from nearly all of his celebrated periods, enriched by insightful commentary from host Craig Crofton.

Alesbrook is a versatile and accomplished trumpet player whose warm, lyrical sound has graced everything from jazz recordings to blockbuster movie soundtracks. His impressive resume includes collaborations with artists such as Raphael Saadiq, Kasabian, Rag’n’Bone Man, and the Scissor Sisters. His passion for jazz shines in his original work, including his 2019 album, The Stories We Tell Ourselves, a collection of eleven compositions featuring Grammy-nominated guitarist and vocalist Raul Midón.

This tribute is more than just a performance—it’s a journey through the musical genius of Miles Davis, reinterpreted by some of Bristol’s finest jazz musicians. Whether you’re a lifelong jazz enthusiast or new to Davis’s revolutionary sound, this event promises a night of unparalleled artistry and storytelling in one of Bristol’s most enchanting venues.
