Beethoven Concerto-thon

For the first time ever, four of Bristol’s most loved local ensembles come together for a one-off extravaganza of Beethoven concerti to raise money to upgrade the extended stage at St George’s. This will be an epic, heart-swelling series of concerts, taking in all five of Beethoven’s piano concerti.

The afternoon will be split into three separately ticketed concerts below:

1pm: Concert 1 Concerti 1 & 2
3.30pm: Concert 2 Concerti 3 & 4
7pm: Concert 3 Concerto 5

The orchestras and soloists involved in Concert 1 will be:

Concerto 2 Bristol Classical Players & Rupert Egerton-Smith

Working with our friends in local orchestras, we’re aiming to raise £15,000 during the Beethoven Concerto-thon to replace our stage extension. The new stage extension will be able to accommodate more musicians and soloists, meaning more concerts and varied programmes can take place within our hall. We can’t do this with our old stage extension, as it isn’t strong enough to support the total weight of an orchestra and piano.

To help meet our £15,000 target, we’re suggesting a donation of £5 alongside every £15 Beethoven Concerto-thon ticket.
