Bristol A Cappella — recently crowned the UK’s best mixed-gender chorus at the British Association of Barbershop Singers’ National Convention 2023 – celebrate their 10-year anniversary in style with an extravaganza of vocal harmony and performance.
Supported by the 2022 European Ladies’ Barbershop Quartet Champions Avalon, who also have roots in the Bristol choral music scene, Bristol A Cappella are excited to bring their own distinctive take on barbershop and a cappella music to the St George’s audience, and to celebrate Bristol’s status as a hub of UK choirs.

Avalon is delighted to be returning to Bristol to perform at Bristol A Cappella’s 10th anniversary show as your 2018 LABBS and 2022 European Women’s Champion Quartet. Boo, Helen, Sophie, and Karen met through their time singing with The University of Bristol Barbershop Singers and began to sing together at the start of 2017. With homes in Reading, Bromley, Sutton, and Scotland (!), they travel some distances to be able to sing together for rehearsals, gigs, and contests. Singing a variety of songs from barbershop classics to Disney and musical theatre, Avalon love to bring a little magic to their performances.
