Bristol Concert Orchestra

Rimsky-Korsakov, De Falla & Dvořák

This event has passed.

Rimsky-Korsakov Cappricio Espagnol
de Falla Nights in the Gardens of Spain
Dvořák Symphony no 7

Conducted by Stefan Hofkes with piano soloist You-Chiung Lin

‘Brilliant, thrilling performances’ Evening Post

For this orchestral celebration, Bristol Concert Orchestra is taking us on a musical journey to Spain and Bohemia.

Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol and de Falla’s Nights in the Gardens of Spain are both evocative and spectacular, conveying the sounds and emotions of Spain in a spellbinding way.

Star soloist and St George’s regular You Chiung Lin will join the orchestra, bringing the solo piano part to life and celebrating a long standing and deep musical friendship.

After the interval, Dvořák’s glorious Seventh Symphony will crown what will be Stefan’s last concert as principal conductor of the orchestra after more than 25 years.

An evening not to be missed.
