‘Bach is the supreme genius of all music’ (Pablo Casals). The St John Passion runs through the whole spectrum of human emotion as it not only captures all the drama and tragedy of the Passion story, but also offers reflection and contemplation as the story unfolds.
Join Bristol Phoenix Choir as they return to St George’s for a seasonally appropriate performance, partnered by a superb team of soloists, as well as the specialist Baroque arm of the Bristol Ensemble. A powerful and moving evening of wonderful music, filled with drama and meditation, in the special setting of St George’s.

Available to pre-order when booking your tickets, you can choose from a selection of house drinks on arrival, accompanied by a board of bread, olives and dips (all Vegetarian). Just select which option – for one or two people – you would like, before checkout. Or if you’ve already booked, please email boxoffice@stgeorgesbristol.co.uk to add your food to your order.
Your pre-ordered food and drink will be available to collect from the Café Bar from 90 minutes before the event. It’s the perfect way to begin your event experience at St George’s!
