We couldn’t be more excited to announce that we’ll be taking part in the Big Give Arts for Impact week from Tue 18 – Tue 25 March! With the help of the Big Give, we’re here to show the power music has in bringing people, and the strength we can have in that togetherness.

Your donation will be matched pound for pound by the Big Give and our own match funding champions. Find out more about our campaign.

Jake Blount

Part of Festival of Voice

This event has passed.

The mesmerising American banjoist, fiddle player and singer Jake Blount is “absurdly talented in about every way a musician can be” (LA Times).

He is not only a stunning musician but also a foremost interpreter of Black folk music from the past, defiantly recontextualising traditional songs for the present day – shining a light on the major, often overlooked, contributions that Black, indigenous and LGBTQ artists have made to American folk traditions. Tonight, his trio – featuring double bass ace Nelson Williams and gifted multi-instrumentalist Gus Tritsch – will play his new album The New Faith, full of evocative songs, including Black spirituals and blues, and footstomping fiddle.
