Keyboard player Kit Downes, one of the most creative jazz musicians of his generation, explores some of Bristol’s most interesting pipe organs in this special one-off trail.
Step into into the fascinating and profound soundworld of the pipe organ on this unique, one-off musical trail. Spend a fascinating two hours in the company of Kit and saxophonist Tom Challenger, listening to them playing short performances on three of Bristol’s most interesting organs and discussing the history and characteristics of each instrument.
The trail will take in three organs at different sites: All Saints Church, Clifton; Clifton College; and United Reform Church, Clifton/Redland. The organs are approximately 15 minute’s walk from each other.
