The wonderful young flautist Sirius Chau plays a deliciously varied programme mixing the present and past, including short gems from the eminent Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi, Bushra El-Turk and Ryuichi Sakamoto, plus Carl Reinecke’s dramatic flute sonata. Chau is accompanied by the sensitive pianism of Kumi Matsuo.
