Brothers Daniel and Joseph Tong are no strangers to St George’s, having performed here solo over many years, to wide acclaim. They return as a duo, 30-odd years after their first performance together at the South Bank Centre as teenage students at Wells Cathedral School.
Individually their careers as solo and chamber musicians have taken them all around Europe and beyond, both with diverse musical lives, whether it be Joseph’s acclaimed solo Schumann (BBC Music Magazine Instrumental Choice) and Sibelius discs for Quartz, or Daniel’s London Bridge Trio (shortlisted for Gramophone Chamber Music Award) and Beethoven Violin and Cello Sonata recordings for SOMM and Resonus. Today they explore the rich and colourful world of music for four hands at one piano.
