Lucy Rose is pleased to share her first new music of the year and details of a UK headline tour for early 2026.
Recorded at Paul Weller’s studios in Surrey (where much of Lucy’s last recorded was recorded), Pale Blue Eyes was played live in the studio as a trio, featuring piano, drums, and bass. Lucy’s vocals were recorded back at her Sussex home, before handing it over to Kwes who took the reins of production. There are jazzy undertones to the track, particularly in Lucy’s piano playing, but with a subtle sense of euphoria too.
Lucy on Pale Blue Eyes: “The song, it’s a tricky one, took me a while to figure out what I wanted to say. The chorus is very much about that one person who kept me believing in myself at my lowest time, who was of course my little boy. When I felt like my body was failing and no one around me believed me, he still loved me for me.”
