The need for a fair, secure and sustainable food system has never been as great, as the planet is put under unprecedented pressure from climate change, population growth and geopolitical upheaval. Join philosopher Julian Baggini, Dr Tara Garnett from Oxford University and Guy Singh-Watson as they try to identify the key principles for our food world, drawing on the experiences of human societies across the planet and across time.
In the second half of this relaxed salon, the discussion will be driven by the audience’s questions and comments.
Dr Tara Garnett has worked on food for over 25 years within both the NGO and academic sectors. Since 2012 she has been a researcher at the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford, a fellow of the Oxford Martin School and part of the Wellcome Trust-funded LEAP project. In 2005 she founded the Food Climate Research Network (FCRN).
