A special day in the month-long Festival of Voice at St George’s
Our ultimate aim is to represent the richness and diversity of choirs and singing groups in Bristol. This is the first of many opportunities for choirs of all genres and styles to present their favourite music. The musical programme will be interspersed with fascinating interactive sessions ranging from learning a new Celebration Day song in just quarter of an hour, to hearing about the latest research on the impact of singing on our well-being and positive mental health.
Choirs participating include:
The Raff Pack
Riff Raff
Bristol Choir Brigade
Bridgewater House Choir
Nightingale Valley Choir
The Redcliff Singers
Phoenix Choir
Axbridge Singer
Bristol Old Vic Community Choir
Twin City
UWE Singers
Sing Out!

Kat Branch
Following last year’s talk on what happens in the body which helps us feel good when we sing with others, this year Kat will be explaining how our own stories and experiences of singing can be used in research with an opportunity to participate in a new study on the impact of regularly singing together.
