“Poetry, but not as you know it…Amazing” Guardian

A brand new show from Tongue Fu, Hot Poets partners brilliant spoken word artists with scientists, NGOs and change-makers in the fight against climate change, to make brand new work telling hopeful stories.
Fusing spoken word, genre-hopping improvised music, film, science and bags of hopeful FACTS, Hot Poets aims to help change the ‘doom narrative’ around climate change and shine light on the amazing work being done around the world.

Featuring:
Zena Edwards Poet, singer and climate activist who’s collaborators include Hugh Masekela and Akram Khan.
Yomi Sode Poet and theatre-wrangler, recipient of the Jerwood Compton Poetry Fellowship. Debut collection with Penguin 2022.
Matt Harvey Writer, poet, funnyman and favourite of BBC R4’s – Saturday Live and Wondermentalist Cabaret.

Hosted by:
Chris Redmond Writer, musician and Fu founder. A regular at music and literature festivals, featured on BBC R1, 2, 4, 6 and CBBC.
Liv Torc Poet and producer of WOMAD’s Hip Yak Poetry Stage. Her lockdown project, Haiflu – was championed by BBC R4 Today Programme and National Poetry Day.
Hot Poets, created by Chris and Liv, is working in partnership with Met Office, LSE, Manchester University and more to create 12 Poetry Films About Saving the World.

Tongue Fu is one of the the UK’s leading spoken word and music shows. having played the Roundhouse to Glastonbury, Dublin, Capetown to Rio. Previous collaborators include Kae Tempest, Irvine Welsh, Akala, Salena Godden, Lemn Sissay and Hollie McNish.

Available to pre-order when booking your tickets, you can choose from a selection of house drinks on arrival, accompanied by a board of bread, olives and dips (all Vegetarian). Just select which option – for one or two people – you would like, before checkout.
